milk & honey studio is me, Andreanna

My passion for photography comes second only to my family. Being invited to document something as important as a wedding or a child's wide eyed grin, catching all of life's behind the scenes moments is what I live for. I shoot film, because it has a beauty and depth that is incomparable for me...and it just puts a smile on my face :)

Time well spent = hanging out with my lovely little family; going to the movies or to watch a band play; watching the clouds roll in on a rainy day; going for a drive to nowhere in particular....

why am I milk & honey studio?

Because I'm a sap :)

For our first date, my husband and I went to a record store. I bought one cd that day, Milk and Honey by John and Yoko. When I was deciding on a name, I wanted it to carry personal meaning. And that's how milk & honey came to be.

fun fact : I still have the bag and receipt from the record store :)

This family lights up the room! So many smiles, so much love, and it’s totally contagious. I had a ridiculous grin on my face the entire time I was shooting, and again when I was sorting through them to post :) So here they are to brighten everyone’s day!

We had to get some solo tutu shots in :)

weddings : steven & ashley

Steven & Ashley filled their wedding day with laughter & love. The way they look at each other says more than words ever could, they are wonderful together. Yellow was the perfect happy accent to the black and white damask theme, and the Camarillo Ranch House made for a lovely backdrop. Between the photo booth, food, sparklers, and glow sticks on the dance floor, it was a fantastic celebration.

sneak peek

love, laughter, and  in-n-out…coming soon :)

I never thought…

…I would tear up at least once during every wedding I shoot, or that commercials could make me overly emotional. I never thought that I would be the one clinging to scraps of paper with scribbles on them, just because they were made by chubby little hands. But I do. I have become woman, wife, and mother in these past six years. So today I will celebrate the crayon art decorating all the walls, ignore the toys that aren’t put away, and enjoy some time with my two favorite people :)

Happy Mother’s Day

July 13, 2010 - 19:15 Jeanne - I didn't know you were a writer too. That reminded me of me with the emotional stuff. I just think I would have trouble ignoring the crayon on the walls. :)

babies : eden

Eden is a beautiful little girl, and at only 12 days old I swear she was trying to crawl right off the bed! Her little yawns and captivated gaze (especially towards mama :) ) made me smile and think about holding my own kids when they were newborns. Time really does fly by….

April 1, 2010 - 18:15 ohana photographers - she is absolutely beautiful!
